Density is 1.178 g/mL (20 ℃); solubility is 1.Smg/L in water (20℃),  larger than 200g/L in Toluene, hexane, dichloromethane and isopropanol, and it is slightly soluble in aliphatic hydrocarbons, and slowly hydrolyze in vegetable oil or mineral oil and decompose gradually under ultraviolet light.

Phoxim has a broad spectrum in insecticides, and mainly function through touch or stomach toxicity, with no internal absorption. It is pretty effective for Lepidoptera larvae. Attentions:
1. Do not mix with alkaline materials.
2. Cucumbers and Kidney beans are sensitive to phoxim and are prone to phytotoxicity.
3. Phoxim is easily decomposed by sunlight, so application in fields should conduct at evening or night.
4. Sorghum is sensitive to phoxim and should not be sprayed. Corn field can only use granule form to control corn borer, do not apply spray irrigation against aphid, armyworms and so on.
